Mill Valley Pair Team Up on Speaker Series | January 10, 2011

Inspired by their volunteer activities, local residents created Speak to Me, a speaker series that features environmental activist Annie Leonard Tuesday night.

Annie Leonard’s 20-minute animated film, “The Story of Stuff,” is itself the stuff of viral video legend.

The film challenges viewers to take a closer look at the lifecycle of material goods. It was released online in December 2007 and has garnered more than 12 million views to date, capitalizing on the new culture of information-sharing and instant connection to spark a national conversation on consumerism and sustainability.
